Flying Cloud Program Outcomes

To appreciate is to pay attention, and Appreciation at Flying Cloud is about helping our campers build their own attentiveness. Appreciation at FC is often focused on oneself, one’s community, or the world that we all live in, and for many it unlocks a newfound sense of gratitude.

Courage at Flying Cloud is all about building the ability to intentionally lean into difficult or scary things. For our campers, this can involve choosing to accept a physical challenge like Firequest or Earthwalk, or allowing themselves to be emotionally vulnerable by doing something like speaking up in front of the whole community.

There is a profound effect that comes from the feeling of being relied upon. At Flying Cloud, every person finds Responsibility for contributing meaningfully to theirs and others’ needs, whether that is the physical work that sustains our infrastructure or the emotional work of day-to-day living in community.
